GIRLS EDUCATION

Education is one of the most critical areas of empowerment for women.

BIRD-Liberia focuses on improving the conditions by which girls, especially those in the marginalized communities can have access to quality education.

Education is an important tool that enables women and girls to participate in decisions that affect their lives and the world at large and so Educating girl child produces mothers who are educated and who will in return educate their children, care for their families and provide their children needs. To BIRD-Liberia, Girl child needs to be educated to acquire knowledge and all skills needed to advance her status for social interactions, self-empowerment for self-improvement.

Every child has the right to an education, an estimated 130 million girls around the world are not in school, and those are family who are struggling and lacks the privileges to learn.

Female education is a catch-all term of a complex set of issues and debates surrounding the education (primary education, secondary education, tertiary education, and health education in particular) for girls and women.
